Content management systemer (CMS) i skyen giver brugere mulighed for at styre upload af indhold på afstand fra ethvert sted med internetforbindelse. Afhængigt af det anvendte CMS er det muligt at uploade billeder, videoer og webindhold blandt andet, og endda designe visuelle elementer. Derudover kan dette indhold planlægges til udsendelse på forskellige kalendere og i nogle tilfælde give kontrol over bestemte skærmparametre såsom skærmorientering, lydstyrke eller indgangskilde.
